Les Freed, a veteran technology journalist and software industry pioneer, has joined Star2Star Communications as director of media relations. Freed will be responsible for all corporate communications, and will report to CEO Norman Worthington.
Star2Star has enjoyed nearly 600% growth over the past few years, despite the weak economy. “We’re glad to have Les on board to help us put Star2Star into the public eye as we move into the next phase of our business plan," said Worthington.
Prior to joining Star2Star, Freed spent 6 years at CBS News and 14 years as a contributing editor at PC Magazine. He is the author or co-author of 15 books on telecommunications, computer networking, and digital photography. Freed was also the founder of Crosstalk Communications, developers of one of the pioneering PC software packages.
