Jeff Kagan is a stroke survivor. He had a stroke nearly nine years ago and went through the long and difficult stroke recovery process. Today he is back to work and rebuilding his life with his family.
Life After Stroke is a book Kagan wrote to help other stroke survivors; their family and friends understand and deal with their new life after stroke.
Unless a stroke survivor is very fortunate, recovery is not generally a quick process, but it is still recovery. Kagan describes his recovery process in a way that anyone can understand.
Every stroke is different. Every recovery is different. Yet there are still similarities that every stroke survivor deals with.
Kagan has written about this in an effort to help new stroke survivors better understand. Something he wanted, but could not find.
“This book is full of the information I was so desperately searching for, but could not find. I describe the ups and downs through years of recovery. Having a strong and positive sense of moving forward every day.” Says Jeff Kagan.
“Sure it can be tough. There are good days and bad days of course. But in the end you keep plugging along, one day at a time. Then after a while you look back and can see your progress. It’s truly inspiring and keeps you working for and reaching for more.” Says Kagan.
This book will make the reader laugh and cry and hopefully fill them with inspiration to keep working toward recovery, day after day, whether they are the stroke survivor, or their family or friend.
