Calhoun City, MS (PRWEB) May 23, 2007
Lifestylist® Suzanne Felber and Larry Lee of Cottage Lane Furniture Inc. today announced the launching of a new upholstery collection that will be manufactured in Mississippi by Cottage Lane Furniture Inc.
After visiting the many areas that were devastated by hurricanes, Felber realized that the recovery in these areas wasn't only going to happen by providing homes, it was also going to take jobs and businesses returning to the area to keep the recovery strong. Felber stated "Mississippi has always been a leader in manufacturing achievable furniture and unfortunately with so many companies now manufacturing their lines overseas production in this area has suffered. By teaming up with Cottage Lane, I'm excited about keeping jobs and great design in this area and promoting American made products."
Cottage Lane Furniture Inc. is owned by Mississippi native Larry Lee and has been manufacturing in Calhoun County Mississippi for over 25 years. The company provides over 125 jobs to families in the area and ships to all 50 states. Lee has always been committed to keeping the jobs in this country and uses fabrics and materials whenever possible that are American made. "I think the time has come" stated Lee "consumers are ready to take a stand and want to know that merchandise they buy is providing jobs and a better quality of life to workers in the US. We are very proud that we are a company that manufactures right here in Mississippi and we are looking forward to letting consumers know our story with this new Mississippi Made collection."
The collection will target the southern lifestyle that Mississippi is known for, and will include sofas, loveseats, and chairs that will be the right scale and fabrics for people starting to rebuild their lives in the area as well as anyone looking for great design at a great price. Felber is looking forward to expanding the collection and including accessories designed by Mississippi artisans and other manufacturers.
Lifestylist® Suzanne Felber is very committed to the rebuilding process and is working with Patriot Homes to design homes to help rebuild the Gulf Coast.
Lifestylist Design will also be donating part of the proceeds of this collection to the Salvation Army to help fund future disaster relief needs. Felber's parents Paul and Norma Smith spent over 2 months in the Gulf Coast area with The Salvation Army during the hurricanes providing hot meals and Felber is pleased to be able to give back to this great organization.
