“From a very young age, I always knew I was more than my physical body or the experiences I was having,” Hyde says. “I have continued searching for answers and believe I now possess them.”

Author Lisa Hyde is a teacher of meditation. As such, she is in touch with the more ethereal natures of existence. She utilizes her new novel, “The Encounter: Spiritual Awakening” (published by Balboa Press AU), to bring her thoughts on the nature of existence to readers.

Eight-year-old Sarah King lives in a small country town and feels like an outsider everywhere she goes. As a tomboy, she isn’t accepted by the girls at school or the adults around her. Sarah finds comfort in her connection to nature and to God. When she tags along with her older brother and his friends on a misguided hunting adventure, she has no idea her life will soon change forever. As she is separated from the boys, Sarah’s journey becomes one of understanding, spiritual fulfillment and enlightenment. She encounters many strange and enigmatic beings who teach her about the power of love in all things.

“From a very young age, I always knew I was more than my physical body or the experiences I was having,” Hyde says. “I have continued searching for answers and believe I now possess them.”

An excerpt from “The Encounter”:

“Now that I understood how we create, I was so sorry for what I had created. I understood how we were responsible for everything we were experiencing in our lives. I slowly and painfully explained to the Yowies, ‘I am so sorry. I didn’t know. I would not have focused on fear if I understood that I was creating what I was frightened of by giving it my attention. I wasn’t even aware that I was creating anything. I thought it was only God who creates.’”
