The Beverly Hills Playhouse Acting School and The Actors' Network gather a panel of casting directors, agents, managers and professional actors in the entertainment industry to shed some light on how actors can improve their careers and start working NOW.

Los Angeles, CA (PRWEB) August 4, 2008 -- The Beverly Hills Playhouse Acting School and The Actors' Network present an all day actors fair: 'Work More Now - An Aggressive Approach to Your Acting Career' on Saturday, August 23, 2008 at the Skylight Theater main stage (1816 N. Vermont Ave., LA, CA 90027). The event will run from 10am to 5pm with registration beginning at 9am. The cost for the all day event is $90 ($60 for students in acting classes of the Beverly Hills Playhouse and The Actors' Network members). The event is sponsored by Crunch and plays411.

The world for today's working actor is constantly changing and actors need to keep up with all the current tools needed to successfully administrate their career
This outstanding event will focus on the growing needs of today's working actor and specifically on what it takes to have a successful career, now. The event will include commercial and theatrical panels, two seminar presentations from the Beverly Hills Playhouse ('Why Acting Class?') and The Actors' Network ('The business of marketing/promotion') and will conclude with a Celebrity Panel featuring Jorge Garcia (of ABC's 'Lost') and Amir Talai (of CBS' 'The Ex List'). As an added bonus there will be various actor vendors and services represented during the event.

'Work More Now' is a tremendous educational event for performers. "The world for today's working actor is constantly changing and actors need to keep up with all the current tools needed to successfully administrate their career," says Gary Grossman, producer for The Beverly Hills Playhouse acting school.

Kevin E. West, president of The Actors Network adds, "We have assembled some of Los Angeles' top casting directors, agents, and managers as well as some of today's successful working actors who will talk about what it takes to Work More Now."

The Commercial industry panel will include: Casting Directors Michael Sanford & Renita Whited along with agents Alicia Ruskin (KSA), Valerie Chiovetti (Abrams Artists), and Matt Taylor (DDO). The Theatrical industry panel will include Casting Directors Paul Ruddy & Kendra Castleberry, Personal Manager Paulo Andrés (RPA Entertainment), and agents Tony Martinez (GVA) & Karl Hofheinz (Synergy Talent). Participants are subject to their availability.

The Beverly Hills Playhouse (BHP) is a top Los Angeles acting school, founded by renowned director and teacher Milton Katselas. Students from his acting classes in Los Angeles have included George Clooney, Michelle Pfeiffer, Tom Selleck, Giovanni Ribisi, Doris Roberts, Jorge Garcia, James Cromwell, Michael Pena', and Patrick Swayze to name a few. The BHP has for over thirty years offered ongoing intensive scene-study classes for both the professional actor and those who are looking to develop themselves into professional actors.

The Actors' Network is responsible for the longest on-going performer's business information and education curriculum in the history of entertainment. No University or organization has created and facilitated such a program since the inception of The Actors' Network in 1991. Both Masi Oka (Heroes) and Christopher Gorham (Ugly Betty) are long time Alums.
