The Maternal and Family Health Services Circle of Care, Hawley, has expanded hours of operation to serve women, children and families in Wayne and Pike Counties. The health center, located at 8 Silk Mill Drive, Suite 225, Hawley, provides reproductive health care, gynecological exams, cancer screenings, nutrition education, and access to healthy foods. The extended hours of operations include appointments available evenings and Saturdays.
Programs offered at Circle of Care include:
- Family Planning: confidential reproductive health care, gynecological exams, breast and cervical cancer screening, testing and treatment for sexually transmitted diseases, access to birth control, pregnancy testing, counseling and referrals. Care is provided regardless of income or insurance coverage.
- Women, Infants and Children (WIC) Nutrition Program: nutrition education and access to healthy foods for pregnant and breastfeeding women, and infants and children up to age 5.
- Healthy Woman Cancer Screening Program: free screenings, preventative care and early treatment for breast and cervical cancer for uninsured women between the ages of 40 and 65 who have low / moderate income.
The MFHS Circle of Care opened last year at the new location in Hawley to provide a convenient location for individuals and families seeking access to the variety of preventative health programs available in a one-stop-shop setting.
Maternal and Family Health Services has been serving women, children and families in Northeast Pennsylvania for over 40 years with high quality, confidential and essential reproductive health and nutrition care.
