Following the announcement that Mississippi State University has launched its “MSU on the Move” health initiative, Massage School San Diego, a proponent of vegan foods and holistic schools in San Diego, has released a tip sheet to help college students stay healthy while away at school.
Thanks to a $562,000 grant from The Blue Cross Blue Shield of Mississippi Foundation, Mississippi State University was able to launch its “MSU on the Move” health initiative this week. The initiative, which focuses on long-term, lifestyle changes, is designed to improve the health and well-being of its students and residents of the local community of Starkville. There will be regular programs hosted on campus to encourage healthy living, and students will be able to attend question and answer sessions with dieticians and nutrition counselors.
In conjunction with MSU’s health initiative, Massage School San Diego has released a list of tips to help college students stay healthy during their busy years at school:
Mississippi State University is a public college located in Starkville, Mississippi. Its official name is The Mississippi State University of Agriculture and Applied Science. Founded in 1878, MSU boasts a little more than 20,000 students. The school’s mascot is the bulldog, and its team colors are maroon and white. MSU is well-known for its veterinary medicine and engineering programs.
Starkville is a small town in Northeast Mississippi. The city was founded in 1835 and is home to just 21,000 people. The Magnolia Film Festival, the oldest film festival in the state of Mississippi, is held in Starkville annually in February.
Blue Cross Blue Shield Foundation of Mississippi is a subsidiary of Blue Cross & Blue Shield of Mississippi that provides funds to health programs and initiatives across the state. It currently supports programs such as: the Healthy Hometown Award, the Belhaven University Grant and Fit for Life.
