Five Reasons to Whitewater Raft in Maine During September

Lower prices, warm water, fewer tourists, fewer kids, foliage and fauna and special big water dam releases are reasons to whitewater raft in Maine during September and early October.

The Forks, ME (PRWEB) August 12, 2007 -- River rafting in Maine begins May First and continues daily through early October. Thanks to hydropower dams generating daily water releases, Maine is the only state in the Northeast that can provide water levels for whitewater rafting and kayaking over a five month season.
