MarketBridge Opens New Philadelphia Office to Better Serve Growing Life Sciences Practice

Sales & Marketing professional services company expands practice to life sciences hotbed; to be led by seasoned healthcare professionals Rick Mann and Dave Jones.

Bethesda, MD (Vocus/PRWEB ) May 30, 2007 -- MarketBridge (www.Market-Bridge.com), a leader in building high-growth Sales and Marketing operations for Fortune 500 companies, today opens a Philadelphia office that will serve as headquarters to its expanding base of life sciences clients, including companies in the pharmaceutical, medical supplies and medical equipment industries.

The opening of the office couldn't come at a more pivotal time in the life sciences space, said Rick Mann, vice president, MarketBridge and leader of its Life Sciences Practice. "For example, as major pharmaceutical companies embark on sales and marketing transformation efforts--including marketing centralization and reductions in their sales forces--it's clear that gaining mindshare of physicians and consumers is more than just providing multiple touch-points in order to drive increased reach and frequency," said Mann. "It's about bringing the marketing and sales functions closer together to optimize multiple channels that drive increased audience influence and yield."

To enable this process, MarketBridge utilizes four basic but critical actions with its clients: Gaining a full understanding of the market, customers and competitors; taking those insights and quickly applying them to designing and executing highly targeted and effective programs and campaigns in a test and learn environment; defining and applying rigorous metrics and measurements that clearly show the business impact of marketing and sales (ROMI); and tapping into a management team with consulting and industry experience across technology, financial services, communications and media, and life sciences.

Mann has more than 22 years of life sciences industry experience, initially working in sales, marketing and managed care roles with pharmaceutical manufacturing companies like AstraZeneca. During the past 10 years he has served in leadership roles within professional services organizations across research, interactive marketing and consulting disciplines.

In addition to Mann, MarketBridge has added another key contributor to its Life Sciences Practice, Dave Jones as vice president. Jones brings significant marketing and sales analytics expertise to practice, previously working at IMS Health, the largest life sciences industry consultancy, serving as its U.S. Analytics practice leader since 2003. Before that he was with Eli Lilly, where he built an analytics team that served as the backbone of a $35 million pharmaceutical modeling service.

"Our mission for this new office is to assist leading pharmaceutical, medical supplies and medical equipment companies develop and execute our proven sales and marketing solutions, said Tim Furey, CEO of MarketBridge. "A recent study 'Define & Align the CMO', conducted by the CMO Council and MarketBridge, found that life science companies were one of the more aggressive industries in hiring CMOs, which will ultimately translate into greater marketing centralization. The study also reported that improved measurement and analytics will play a crucial role in their success. Since Dave has driven the research and analytics efforts of several life sciences organizations, he's superbly qualified to provide our clients with those key functions. Both he and Rick Mann will help solidify our position as a leader in life sciences sales and marketing solutions, much as we lead in the technology sector."

The new Philadelphia office, located at 1500 Market Street in the center of Philadelphia, will better serve MarketBridge's current life sciences client list--which includes many of the top pharmaceutical and medical device companies--while making the company's industry-specific sales and marketing products, including SalesStream and other Performance-Driven Marketing solutions, available to other top industry players.
