After her competitive days of Division 1 volleyball at Iowa State ended due to an injury, Amanda’s weight gradually increased year after year as she became more sedentary and less concerned about what she ate. Amanda had become so overweight that by October of 2011 she faced a comment from a stranger that literally changed her life.
“This past fall, while on a family vacation to Mackinac Island, Michigan, I was in a restaurant bathroom and was greeted by a nice woman. She smiled at me and asked, "When is the baby due?" I was very confused at first, and then became ice cold once I realized she thought I was pregnant. "I look like I'm pregnant?!?" I thought to myself, but politely replied, "Oh, I'm not pregnant." The woman was embarrassed, apologized, and left the bathroom quickly,” said Freeseman, taking time out from her ‘Cover Shoot’ for November’s Max Sports & Fitness magazine. “I then entered a stall and balled my eyes out. I sat there and cried for a few minutes, then wiped my tears and met back up with my family to eat dinner. I never told anyone what had happened, but I will never forget those words and how they made me feel. I refuse to ever feel that way again... ”
Shortly after her vacation, she walked through the door of a Max Muscle Sports Nutrition store and her world began to change. It wasn’t until she sat down with a Max Muscle Certified Fitness Nutrition Coach that she developed a Nutrition Plan. Armed with this newfound knowledge, expertise and coaching in store, she her personal journey based on her goals, body, lifestyle, and plan.
She began adding high quality supplements to her regime and began to notice immediately the affects that proper nutritional supplements, delivered at the proper time, exponentially enhanced her clean eating and exercise. Thermogenics such as Lipo-Red and Emerge further made the weight “literally fly off” in the later days of her MaxFormation.
Further encouragement from the store was to point out Max Muscle’s annual $25,000 MaxFormation Life Challenge.
"I asked more about it and found out how to sign up, and I checked out the Max Muscle website and saw the online community of people just like me looking to change their lives and all the support and motivation they give each other,” said Freeseman. “Immediately I knew this was exactly what I need. I need actual ‘team’ around me for motivation and support just like I had back when I played sports.”
Max Muscle Sports Nutrition President Sean Greene agreed. “Support, motivation, encouragement for Amanda at her local store in Minnesota helped her thrive nutritionally, mentally, and as a needed coach. The myMaxMuscle online community further supported the in-store experience. It’s our recipe for success and Amanda is our shining example of that. She lost 60 pounds and is now in the best shape of her life. Amanda looks forward to her next goal of helping motivate others to get their lives back through proper nutrition and education.”
Since the announcement, Freeseman has been busy booking appearances at Max Muscle Sports Nutrition locations around the country to witness, first hand, what it takes to change a lifetime of bad habits and misinformation on nutrition. In addition, Freeseman will also be representing Max Muscle Sports Nutrition at this year’s Arnold Classic and the Olympia.
The 2013 MaxFormation Life Challenge begins December 1, 2012, with participants ability to pre-sign up on October 1st, 2012. More information is at http://www.mymaxmuscle.com/maxformation/
