MADISON, Wis. – Author Miranda McAdams shares true stories about the animals she has rescued over the course of three decades in her heartwarming new book, “I Never Met a Dog I Didn't Like: True Entertaining and Educational Stories About Rescue Dogs and Cats” (published by AuthorHouse).
McAdams’ new book contains nine stories featuring the funny, loveable pets who came into her life as rescue animals and who had behavioral and elimination problems to overcome. A final chapter honors the dogs she’s had whose lives were rather uneventful or less colorful, but meaningful just the same.
The book covers educational topics as well, such as medical treatments for cataracts and distemper and the process of introducing two cats to each other gradually through the use of minor home renovations and shared beds, blankets and toys. Readers will also learn about creating a backyard dog park with trails and how animal transports operate regularly all over the U.S.
“I wanted to share our animals and their stories with other people,” McAdams says. “Even though some of our pets are already deceased and the rest have a few years of living left yet, this book is my way of honoring and immortalizing them all.”
