The Software & Information Industry Association (SIIA) has named Moreover Technologies' Newsdesk 4 real-time discovery, refinement and sharing service as a “Best Content Aggregation Solution” category finalist in its 26th Annual CODiE Awards competition. The winner will be announced at the CODiE Awards Reception & Dinner on Tuesday, Jan. 25 in New York.
The CODiE Awards, a centerpiece of the SIIA’s annual Information Industry Summit conference, recognize excellence in the business software, digital content and education technology industries.
In its finalist announcement, SIIA noted that Newsdesk 4 has, “been selected from many high-quality products… It’s a significant achievement.”
Newsdesk 4 gives users unified portal access to millions of daily news articles and social media posts, and ability to refine results immediately using comprehensive cutting-edge faceted search and filtering tools. Easy-to-use sharing tools include automated newsletters, email alerts, and editorial control of feeds shared.
“Being named a CODiE finalist acknowledges the outstanding job done by everyone who contributed to Newsdesk 4, especially the development team. This reinforces ongoing client feedback and a positive independent review released by FreePint Research in November,” said Paul J. Farrell, Moreover Technologies' President.
FreePint’s Penny Crossland characterized Newsdesk 4 as a “particularly useful tool for media monitoring, corporate marketing and marketing communications departments.” She pointed out that, “social media coverage is impressive…news coverage spans numerous industry sectors…interface has an attractive layout and is easy to navigate...Searching is user-friendly and numerous filters result in targeted results – considerably more targeted than any web search engine could produce.”
