New Editor Named for International Journal Of Nursing Terminologies & Classifications

Dr. Jane Flanagan has been appointed as the new Editor of the NANDA International (NANDA-I) professional trade journal, International Journal of Nursing Terminologies and Classifications (IJNTC).

Green Bay, WI (Vocus/PRWEB ) October 13, 2009 -- Dr. Jane Flanagan has been appointed as the new Editor of the NANDA International (NANDA-I) professional trade journal, International Journal of Nursing Terminologies and Classifications (IJNTC). NANDA-I is an international organization that develops, refines and promotes terminology that accurately reflects nurses' clinical judgments. Dr. Flanagan was previously an Associate Editor of the journal.

I completely support NANDA-I's vision to strengthen the clinical nursing focus of IJNTC, and look forward to guiding the publication in this direction."

Flanagan has an extensive and successful background in the health care field. She is an assistant professor at the William F. Connell School of Nursing at Boston College. She holds appointments as a faculty associate scientist at the Massachusetts General Hospital - Yvonne Munn Center and as an associate clinical scientist at the Phyllis Cantor Center at the Dana Farber Cancer Institute. In addition, she is certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center as an adult nurse practitioner and maintains a clinical practice as a nurse practitioner at Massachusetts General Hospital in the Clinical Research Center.
