The National Association of Professional Women (NAPW) honors Carol Schuster as a 2015-2016 inductee into its VIP Woman of the Year Circle. She is recognized with this prestigious distinction for leadership in the accounting. A resident of DeWitt, IA, her entire life, Carol Schuster, the widow of a veteran and mother of three, has put down deep roots in the community she serves. With her results-driven work ethic and her extensive knowledge of the town, Ms. Schuster provides the utmost customer satisfaction in the interpersonal relationships that are at the heart of her business success.
A graduate of the University of Northern Iowa, Ms. Schuster obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Business with an emphasis in Accounting. She has worked for and became a partner in both regional and national certified public accounting firms as a result of mergers over the years. In 2008, she purchased the DeWitt location from the national firm she was with. Working with a staff of other professional women, they provide tax, accounting, payroll and consulting services to individuals and businesses throughout the Eastern Iowa region.
Ms. Schuster is an active member of many organizations within the community. She is the past President of the DeWitt Chamber of Commerce and is currently the Treasurer of St. Joseph’s Education Foundation, Treasurer of Crossroads Unlimited Co and Vice- Chair of the Iowa Accountancy Examining Board, a regulatory board for CPAs and LPAs.
