The National Association of Professional Women (NAPW) honors Hope Cooper as a 2015-2016 inductee into its VIP Woman of the Year Circle. She is recognized with this prestigious distinction for leadership in a correctional facility. NAPW is the nation’s leading networking organization exclusively for professional women, boasting more than 850,000 members and over 200 operating Local Chapters.

Self-motivated, results-oriented and driven to succeed, Hope Cooper is a seasoned professional who has constantly set her goals to keep pace with her highest aspirations for personal excellence. Throughout her career, she has exhibited exemplary teamwork, expertise, integrity and dedication.
Currently Warden of Topeka Correctional Facility, Ms. Cooper previously served as the KDOC’s Director of Community Corrections. She also worked as a Probation Officer for the US District Courts in Topeka and for Community Solutions, Inc., an adult day reporting center in Topeka.
Ms. Cooper was awarded by the Governor for the change she has brought to the facilities and the strides she has made in recognizing women prisoners. She works closely with the Secretary of Corrections to serve the female population to make changes and is an advocate for women in the justice system. She would like to provide a state wide women’s consortium to recognize wellness and health in women and partner with state level partners.
The unwavering dedication demonstrated by Ms. Cooper fully utilizes the aspirations for success that have earned her this recognition from the National Association of Professional Women, honoring her as an inspiration and a leader in her industry.
