Garden City, NY (PRWEB) July 12, 2011

The Suffolk County Local Chapter met on June 29th at Bistro 25 in Sayville. The meeting opened with drinks, social introductions, and a welcome from Suffolk County Chapter President Jennifer Makaw. The meeting continued with a discussion about what motivated each member to join NAPW. The chapter welcomed new members to the group’s second monthly chapter meeting. Jennifer announced that the next meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, July 27th at John Harvard’s Brew House located at 2093 Smith Haven Plaza in Lake Grove, NY 11775.

Rosemary Manuele Serra, president of the Nassau County Chapter and guest attendee, gave a very informative presentation on skincare. Rosemary is the owner of Everlasting Beauty Skincare and she spoke about the need for everyday skincare, and the importance of taking time to take care for one’s self. She also spoke about preventative skincare. Rosemary was a New York City school teacher and needed to have something to do in her retirement. Her search led her to her passion for skincare and to creating her own product and, ultimately, a complete product line. Her products are designed for both women and men.

The meeting progressed with individual introductions of members and guests. Each attendee gave a brief introduction, spoke of their businesses and what brought them to NAPW. Attendees included Jennifer Makaw of Prints Charming Graphics, a Graphic Designer and owner of http://www.PrintsCharmingInc.com. PrintsCharmingInc.com is an online store for personalized invitations and announcements. Merav Shiloni was in attendance. Merav is an Independent Arbonne Consultant and Executive District Manager. Diana Andrade attended as a guest. She is also an Independent Consultant and District Manager for Arbonne International. Jean Grauer attended as a guest of NAPW member Jill Bullwinkle, and spoke of her new business: Gestalt. Others in attendance included: Rosemary Manuele Serra, owner of Everlasting Beauty Skincare; Ada Wasserman of APW Insurance; Susan Saltz of Moir & Saltz, LLP; Jill Bullwinkle, Founder & Designer of Jillary Designs; Madelyne Jackson of Hooked on Style, Inc.; Gloria M. Gebbia, a Notary and Retired School Teacher; Barbara McNally Interior Decorator and owner of Design Views; and Diane McIlree, Consultant, Writer & Coach with Vistage International.

The group discussed the possibility of hosting a networking event with East End Wine Tasting Tour. The Suffolk County Chapter plans to invite members from Nassau County, New York City and Westchester County Chapters. Attendees would spend a day on Long Island’s east end with good food, wine and great networking. The idea was welcomed by all and details will be arranged this month.

Suffolk County Chapter member Merav Shiloni donated a basket of her Arbonne products to raffle. It was won by Madelyne Jackson of Hooked on Style, Inc. Suffolk County Chapter President Jennifer Makaw donated her design services including a logo design, business card design and 250 free business cards. The giveaway was won by guest Jean Grauer. NAPW also donated a $20 Starbucks gift card, which was won by NAPW Member Barbara McNally of Design Views.

“A special thank you to all the wonderful members and guests who attended this month’s meeting,” Jennifer said. “I look forward to meeting more of our Suffolk County Members at our July 29th meeting at John Harvard’s Brew House.
