NRPA Launches Largest Online Networking Platform in the Park and Recreation Industry

This week, the National Recreation and Park Association (NRPA) launched NRPA Connect, the largest online networking platform for parks and recreation in the U.S. The platform, available at http://www.nrpaconnect.org, will connect members of the association through e-mail groups, forums, networks and blogs, providing a one-stop venue for sharing news and information, networking with colleagues and participating in industry-related discussions.

This week, the National Recreation and Park Association (NRPA) launched NRPA Connect, the largest online networking platform for parks and recreation in the U.S. The platform, available at http://www.nrpaconnect.org, will connect members of the association through e-mail groups, forums, networks and blogs, providing a one-stop venue for sharing news and information, networking with colleagues and participating in industry-related discussions.

Special features of NRPA Connect include:

“My Page” Profile – Members can create and edit unique profiles, post news and updates, and view industry-related events through an online calendar function.
“People” Directory – Members can mark their profiles with topic-specific tags relevant to their industry interests, contact each other through a user-friendly community directory and view NRPA’s reach via a national mapping function.
“Groups” – Members can join online discussion groups and networks related to specific areas of parks and recreation.
“Forums” – Anyone in the U.S. can post, view and comment on forum discussions about industry-related topics.
