New York, NY (PRWEB) October 29, 2012
New York Wine Festivals announces the return of the New York City Winter Wine Festival to the Best Buy Theater in Times Square on Saturday, February 9, 2013. The 4th annual wine tasting event includes 200+ wines plus an array of light hors d'oeuvres. As wine enthusiasts sip, music by Grammy-nominated contemporary jazz guitarist Jeff Golub will enhance the setting with special live jazz performances during the tasting sessions.
Tasting tables located throughout the attractive venue will offer a wide variety of high-quality, unique wines from around the globe including an extensive selection from old world regions like Bordeaux and Rioja, to new world region styles from California, South Africa, and Chile.
The popular wine tasting event has sold out for the last three years. In the festival’s first year (2010), NBC local television dubbed it a “must-attend event.” To meet popular demand, the 2013 event continues to feature two sessions: an Afternoon Session from 3-6pm and an Evening Session from 8-11pm. For an additional fee, attendees can learn about and taste a selection of special wines at an exclusive VIP Wine Class led by a seasoned wine expert.
”This annual event brings an amazing selection of wines from around the world all under one roof for an extraordinary tasting experience. Guests are treated to incredible picks from different wine regions and grape varietals. Add in live performances by Jeff Golub and his band during the fest, it’s truly an event to remember for both first-timers and returnees,” notes Sam Kimball, co-founder of New York Wine Festivals.
World-renowned contemporary jazz guitarist Jeff Golub has had a successful solo career with 6 albums plus another 3 releases as leader of the instrumental band “Avenue Blue.” He has also worked as a sideman to several top rock/pop artists, playing on numerous albums and tours with Billy Squier, as well as spending many years recording and touring with Rod Stewart. Additionally, he appeared on the Grammy-nominated album "Joined At The Hip" with Bob James and Kirk Whalum. Jeff lost his vision in 2011 and is now legally blind, but this has not slowed the gifted artist down. Wine Fest attendees can enjoy his live performance in the final hour of each session (5-6pm / 10-11pm.)
