Frazier Rehab Institute, part of KentuckyOne Health, recently announced their plans to join the NeuroRecovery Training Institute (NeuroRTI) as a training center for licensed physical therapists interested in pursuing neurologic physical therapy certifications. The NeuroRTI is an equal partnership between NeuroRecovery Ed, Evidence In Motion, and Phoebe Wood (former Vice Chairman and CFO, Brown-Forman). While the NeuroRecovery Training Institute will have additional training centers or network partners across the country, Frazier Rehab Institute will be the group’s exclusive partner in Kentucky.
As a network partner, Frazier Rehab Institute will serve as host and the main geographical hub for the NeuroRTI Residency program’s onsite weekend clinical intensives as well as coursework and hands on training for physical therapists seeking continuing education credits in this highly specialized field of physical therapy. Kim Atkinson, MPT, NCS has been named Residency Director of the new network partner site.
“This collaborative partnership with the NeuroRecovery Training Institute will enable us to continue to attract talented physical therapists dedicated to staying on the cutting edge of clinical care,” says Frazier Rehab Institute’s CEO Randy Napier. “Together as a team, we are uniquely qualified to make a significant impact on the lives of all patients suffering from neurologic disorders.” Napier went on to say that current staff members at Frazier Rehab Institute will benefit from the new partnership’s educational offerings as well.
The NeuroRecovery Training Institute’s Residency program, offered at Frazier Rehab, is highly attractive to physical therapists wanting to pursue neurologic certifications without having to move from their current location. Through the use of online coursework, weekend onsite training, and mentorships, residents can maintain their current job and location. According to NeuroRecovery Training Institute’s Senior Partner Susan Harkema, “There is no other Residency program in the country that offers the perfect blend of online learning and intense weekend training; supported by a world renowned faculty in world class facility.”
