New Roads Treatment Center is excited to announce the hiring of a new clinical director, Dr. Jon Skidmore. Dr. Skidmore practices positive psychology and performance/life coaching and looks forward to impacting the lives of young adults at New Roads Treatment Center.
Prior to joining the staff at New Roads, Dr. Skidmore had a full-time private practice in Orem, Utah, and taught part-time at Brigham Young University. New Roads Treatment Center was started by a group of Utah businessmen who wanted to see a treatment center for young adults after witnessing addiction in their own loved ones’ lives.
The alcohol and drug abuse treatment center offers a number of programs for young adults. The drug treatment programs at New Roads target substance abuse problems by focusing on the person as a whole: mitigating self-destructive behaviors by repairing relationships, improving communication skills, exploring life road map development, developing self-esteem and addressing problems.
New Roads also offers mental health care to clients. The treatment center looks at past history of any mental health challenges, any psychiatric diagnoses, med and psychiatric management.
New Roads Treatment Center is dedicated to developing a group of programs that utilize therapeutic culture, science-based treatment, and simple caring to help young adults recover from addiction and emotional pain.
