(PRWEB) August 10, 2006 -- “Dead End,” the new novel by the Ghanaian philosopher and author, Samuel K. K. Blankson, was today released. This book follows a British diplomat on special assignment to the small West African country of Togo to secretly aid them pass a UN resolution on immigration.

The book follows the life of Bill Johnson, a British diplomat who is sent to Togo as a punishment for his involvement in a diplomatically embarrassing situation in Germany. On arrival, Bill is assigned the difficult task of secretly representing British interests in the passing of a Togolese tabled UN resolution to end illegal immigration internationally. Juggling this assignment amidst his own personal sexuality problems, Bill sets about the difficult task of diplomatic matchmaking in Africa, facing incredible odds against his success; Bill has to deal with corrupt politicians and his homophobic superiors. The tale takes the reader deep into the African mentality and is infused with strong African influences. “Dead End” manages to tackle difficult and controversial issues such as, international immigration, Western exploitation of Africa, the homosexual trade in Africa, the African brain drain problem and diplomatic corruption and western influence in African politics. Himself previously an African diplomat, Mr. Blankson brings his vast knowledge on diplomatic intrigue and corruption to bear in “Dead End”.
