SoundCtrl Presents a Celebration of Technology and Music

Leading community of music and technology experts to hold only music event during Internet Week; Participants include the legendary Chuck D and a performance by Wale.

New York, NY (Vocus/PRWEB ) June 4, 2009 -- SoundCtrl a new music:tech convergence platform based in NYC, today announced ''A Celebration of New York's Music and Technology Community.'' The event will take place on June 4th, during Internet Week, in New York City at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Annex in Soho. This is the only official music event of Internet week.

This celebration will include legendary hip-hop icon Chuck D, Albert Wenger from Union Square Ventures, Lisa Grey from Mountain Dew's Green Label Sound and many more. In addition, in celebration of this groundbreaking community, there will be a special guest performance from Wale, a protégé of Grammy winning producer Mark Ronson.

This event is sponsored by PepsiCo and Pepsi Music who are SoundCtrl's partner's on the series.

For those not able to attend, the event will be streamed live by SoundCtrl's streaming partner Sync Live and can be viewed as it happens at www.SOUNDCTRL.com. ''A Celebration of New York's Music and Technology Community'' is made possible by NUE Agency, KlickableTV, Digiwaxx Media, Mobile Behavior, Digital Armm, Social Media Week, Internet Week, DubShot Records, FADER Media and the SoundCtrl board.

In addition to building a hot online destination, SoundCtrl will be hosting a series of monthly events featuring industry leaders and New York based music and technology companies. SoundCtrl founders aim to encourage an open dialogue within the community of technology and music industry professionals.
