Endsleigh Car Insurance Reveals Reasons to Attend the NEC Classic Motor Show

There are a host of motor shows in the UK each year, but nothing quite like the NEC Classic, where the organizers aim to “bring people who share a passion for cars”.

So why is this motor show different from any of the others? Endsleigh Car Insurance investigates.

There are a number of classic car motor shows every year, but the NEC Classic Motor Show is the “Grand Finale” of the annual calendar, the F.A Cup of classic car motor shows, so to speak. With most of these cars being beautifully maintained and kept the quality on show for the visitor or exhibitionist is unrivalled. People come from all over the UK, Europe and the world to see and exhibit these classic machines.

The show celebrates cars of all makes, models and ages in a variety of different classes. The classes are:

  •     Veteran
  •     Vintage
  •     Classic
  •     Future Classic

The number of cars on display can be up to 1000 and range from some very accessible classics (like the 1980’s Volkwagen GTI) to some very rare racing exotics, like a Ford GT40, offering something for everyone. Besides the wide range of cars on show (some of which the car insurance alone would bankrupt many) visitors can purchase any product and service they can think for their own vintage cars. There are even some services and specials on offer that are exclusively available to the NEC Motor Show visitors.

The show also doubles as the UK’s biggest classic car dealership for the duration of the show as a lot of manufacturers show cars that are for sale to visitors and the cars for sale range (like the exhibitions) from affordable to extremely pricey (although getting cheap car insurance for a classic car could be much easier than for a new model).
