Nobel Watch Co. Offers President Congratulatory Watch
Nobel Watch Co. CEO Israel Genuth has just sent a letter to President and Mrs. Obama, congratulating the President on receiving the Nobel Peace Prize, and offering to present him with an honorary Nobel Watch.
New York, NY (PRWEB) November 10, 2009 –- The CEO of Nobel Watch Co. has sent a letter to President and Mrs. Obama, offering to present them with a specialty Nobel Watch to permanently commemorate the President’s award of the Nobel Peace Prize. Nobel Watch Co., known for its line of premium watches, has built its 17-year business and reputation on the slogan, “I didn’t get the Nobel Prize…but I got the Nobel® watch,” which CEO Israel Genuth realizes is a bit ironic considering that this would be the first time someone could receive both the Nobel Prize and a Nobel Watch.
“I would very much like the opportunity of presenting the President with this honorary watch,” says Mr. Genuth. “My company and the President have many similarities in overcoming overwhelming odds, and not only surviving, but thriving.”
Nobel Watch Co. has had to fight to hold on to its brand name despite claims of copyright infringement from the Nobel Foundation in Norway, and others. The small company prevailed against a global foundation. “We have fought and won, fair and square,” says Genuth. He hopes the President will relate to the company’s ‘David and Goliath’ story.
In his letter to the President, Genuth eloquently states:
“While our request seems insignificant, you would agree it symbolizes the strength of American business ingenuity. It is what makes our country great, the freedom to fight against long odds, stand proud and compete in an open marketplace.”
Genuth hopes to hear back from the President before the official Nobel Peace Prize award ceremony in December.
