Northeast Consulting, Inc. Volunteers and Raises More Than $500 for the 2009 Massachusetts Special Olympics
Northeast Consulting, Inc., the premiere outsourced sales and marketing firm in the Greater Boston area, recently volunteered at the 2009 Massachusetts Special Olympics and raised more than $500 for the organization.
Braintree, MA (Vocus/PRWEB ) July 9, 2009 –- Northeast Consulting, Inc., the premiere outsourced sales and marketing firm in the Greater Boston area, recently volunteered at the 2009 Massachusetts Special Olympics and raised more than $500 for the organization. The event took place at Harvard University in Cambridge, MA.
Sixteen staff members from Northeast Consulting helped officiate volleyball games, assisted athletes to their lanes for swimming events, helped out with the exotic animal petting zoo, and handed out water to participants.
The Special Olympics is the world’s largest year-round program of physical fitness, sports training, and athletic competition for people with intellectual disabilities and/or closely related developmental disabilities. Close to one million athletes participate, with athletes in every state of the U.S. and in more than 140 countries around the world.
Owner and president of Northeast Consulting, Jim Rothermel, said that Northeast Consulting decided to donate to the Special Olympics of Massachusetts because they thought it would be a great opportunity to interact with the children in a fun, active environment.
“As a team, we’re coming together to positively impact our community,” said Jim Rothermel, president of Northeast Consulting. “ It’s a great feeling to know that not only are we building relationships with each other, which directly impacts our business, but that we’re giving back to our community.”
Jim Rothermel said that Northeast Consulting will be participating in many other fundraising events in the near future, including fundraisers for the Boston Children’s Hospital and Tuesday’s Children.
