Our Lady of the Lake University (OLLU), in conjunction with their wellness program initiatives maintained by WellNet Healthcare Group and Personalized Prevention, a San Antonio based health risk management company, has been awarded a Silver 2012 Healthy Workplace Recognition Program Award by the San Antonio Business Group on Health (SABGH).
The Healthy Workplace Recognition Program, sponsored by SABGH and San Antonio Mayor Julián Castro’s Mayor’s Fitness Council, aims to recognize local employers that foster and advocate a culture of wellness within their organizations.
Bronze, silver and gold level distinctions are awarded based on the following: health promotion and education, culture, physical activity, smoking and tobacco use, nutrition and value-based benefits and benefit design. As a silver-level award recipient, OLLU has exemplified excellence in promoting a healthier workforce and campus community wellness programs that focus on exercise, nutrition and education, all supported strongly by members of OLLU’s senior management.

In partnership with Personalized Prevention and WellNet Interactive, OLLU provides its nearly 500 covered employees and dependents with a comprehensive health management program which includes access to biometric screenings, on-site health coaching, informative health fairs as well as access to Registered Nurse Care Management.
WellNet’s Care Management program is available to all covered OLLU members and is used as an outlet for members to ask health related questions, review biometric screening and lab results, set specific health goals and seek motivation and support to better their health and reach their health goals.
