In 2010, Oneida entered social media with a Facebook page that focused on shared products and information for both consumers and foodservice professionals. “Now that our fan base has grown, these two groups are interested in different information. We felt it was time to create an Oneida Foodservice page that focuses on content for professional chefs, independent restaurant owners, our distributors and food and beverage managers,” commented Amy Gebhardt, Oneida’s Director of Public Relations.
Content on the new Foodservice Facebook page will feature beautiful photography, industry trends and events, videos and a Virtual Tabletop app. The app is an especially exciting tool that allows online visitors a terrific means to experiencing and experimenting with different products. Users can build a virtual table setting from linens to any Oneida dinnerware, flatware or glassware product.
In celebration of the new Foodservice Facebook page launch, a Perfect Presentation sweepstakes will run from November 5 – December 17, 2012. The sweepstakes presents Oneida Foodservice fans the chance to win a Schönwald Grace dinnerware setting for twelve. In order to participate, contestants must “like” the Oneida Foodservice Facebook page and complete a program entry form. A winner will be drawn from the Oneida Foodservice fan base at the close of the sweepstakes, notified with a personal email and announced on the Oneida Foodservice Facebook page.
