Westmont Hospitality Group Announces Construction Milestone in Multi-Million Dollar Transformation

Holiday Inn Main Gate East has completed renovation of first tower’s rooms; now accepting reservations for guest arrivals beginning September 4, 2007.

In addition, construction is on schedule and the entire renovation is expected to be completed late this summer.

Kissimmee, Fla. (Vocus/PRWEB ) August 29, 2007 -- The soon-to-be Holiday Inn Main Gate East, an official Walt Disney World Good Neighbor® Hotel, has completed a significant portion of the $10 million dollar transformation that began in January.

“We are thrilled to announce that the first tower of 220 guest rooms is complete,” said Ed Kortum, general manager of the hotel. “In addition, construction is on schedule and the entire renovation is expected to be completed late this summer.”

Formerly operated as the world’s largest Travelodge, the 444-room, full-service hotel features two high-rise towers with more than 4,000 square feet of flexible meeting space.

As one of the final phases of construction, the lobby will be completely reconfigured by eliminating a number of walls, which will create an open floor plan that encompasses a new kids’ theater, front desk area and lobby lounge. With the new floor-to-ceiling windows, the lobby bar and lounge will open into an outdoor trellis-shaded patio that overlooks the lush tropical garden and pool area.

The new Holiday Inn Main Gate East is located at 5711 West Irlo Bronson Memorial Highway in Kissimmee, Fla.
