Overland Park Marriott Completes $20 Million Renovation Transformation of 398 rooms, 14,000 Square Feet of Meeting Space, Lounges and More
The Overland Park Marriott, known for its superior service and premier location in the Metcalf Avenue Corridor, announced today the completion of a $20 million hotel renovation that dramatically updated the hotel's exterior and interior to create a more comfortable and accessible guest environment.
Overland Park, Kansas (PRWEB) November 20, 2008 -- The Overland Park Marriott, known for its superior service and premier location in the Metcalf Avenue Corridor, announced today the completion of a $20 million hotel renovation that dramatically updated the hotel's exterior and interior to create a more comfortable and accessible guest environment.
The renovation, which began in April, included all 398 guest rooms and suites, hotel corridors, concierge lounge, the ballroom and 14,000 square feet of meeting space. The beautifully updated meeting space offers in-house audiovisual technology and Red Coat service featuring "red button" 45-second response time. The 15 meeting rooms have updated sound and lighting systems, as well as new digital reader boards. They have been updated with new carpets and wall coverings in burgundy shades with blue and green highlights. Foyer space was also modified to include modern lighting and new carpet to create a great space for receptions or exhibits.
All guest rooms feature the Marriott Revive bed with luxurious linens and 37-inch, high-definition, flat-screen TVs, high-speed internet, and plug-in options for MP3 devices, digital cameras, camcorders or other electronic devices.
In addition to the interior, the hotel's exterior received a dramatic facelift, including a new color scheme using warmer and more vibrant colors. The landscaping was changed to include colorful pansies, roses and day lilies, and the signage on the outside of the hotel was updated.
