Parker, AZ (Vocus) May 22, 2010
Parker Arizona will play host to an eight (8) mile inner tube float down the Colorado River, the weekend of June 5th. This annual event officially kicks off summer for the resort town of Parker. Participants of the float will start in the town of Parker and end up at the BlueWater Resort and Casino eight miles down-river.
The local Arizona RV Campgrounds are gearing up for the event which has been playfully dubbed “Rockin’ the River.” With the influx of tourists and out-of-towners, the campgrounds will be filling up early. Participants are encouraged to make plans for their overnight accommodations early as the event is estimated to draw hundreds of out-of-town visitors.
Participants in the 33rd annual river float are encouraged to wear sun block as the summer temperatures heat up and to practice safety during the entirety of the event. Life jackets are a requirement and rowdy behavior is discouraged.
When the event is over, stay and play at Parker Arizona’s premier BlueWater Resort & Casino. Here you will find fine dining, slot machines, table games, concerts and much more. If you choose to bring along your RV, there are plenty of RV parks in Arizona that you will find conveniently located near the event.
Don’t limit the party’s fun and excitement to just one weekend. Parker Arizona is a place where families and friends will love to gather for food, fun and entertainment. As one of Arizona’s fastest growing tourist destinations, Parker has the most up to date amenities and essentials to make vacations a success. A growing number of hotels, casinos and RV Resorts have made Parker Arizona a lively attraction for those interested in a weeklong vacation, or a quick getaway.
