While many identity and access management projects have been stalled by the economic downturn, single sign-on deployments that can be used to lay the groundwork for those projects are instead being driven by governance, risk and compliance initiatives. Organizations are securing funds for ESSO implementations by leveraging the technology's ability to manage and enforce policies for application access.

The webcast outlines ESSO's benefits in identifying user roles, tracking user application access, imposing user access controls, and establishing a centralized audit trail to support regulatory compliance initiatives in the healthcare, financial, energy and general business sectors. It also examines the role of single sign-on in satisfying specific regulatory provisions, such as providing the unique IDs required by PCI-DSS, controlling shared password use for SOX, and identifying cyber-assets for FERC/NERC.

Other topics addressed include the use of ESSO technology as a tool for identity and access management deployments, building an Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) and enhancing security by enforcing strong password policies.

The webcast is sponsored by Passlogix, Inc., the developer of the v-GO Access Accelerator Suite including the market-leading v-GO Single Sign-On platform.
