Big Apple Circus Founder Discusses Book in 5 Radio Interviews
NEW YORK (PRWEB) May 26, 2015 -- The circus is a place of intrigue for many people. The magic of the circus cast its spell on author Paul Binder at a young age, and prompted him to not only go to the circus, but also make it his livelihood.
In his memoir, “Never Quote the Weather to a Sea Lion: And Other Uncommon Tales from the Founder of the Big Apple Circus” (published by AuthorHouse) – featuring a foreword by actress Glenn Close – Binder takes what he claims are his zaniest and most touching stories from underneath the big top, and places them into the hands of readers. This year, Binder will participate in five radio talk show interviews to promote his new book. One of these interviews will then be published in the AuthorHouse BookMad digital magazine, available as a smartphone application.
“Never Quote the Weather to a Sea Lion” takes readers around the world as Binder’s career takes him from humble beginnings performing with the San Francisco Mime Troupe to touring most of Europe.
From his experiences as the floor manager for TV’s famed French chef Julia Child, to regular appearances on Sesame Street and his eventual founding of the well-known Big Apple Circus, Binder has lived a life that is anything but ordinary, which he lovingly recounts in his memoir.
Throughout the book, Binder pays tribute not only to his love for the circus, but also to the momentous occasions that helped him achieve his crowning glory – the founding of the Big Apple Circus. By doing so, Binder aims to open readers’ eyes to the joy and magic that one can find in the simple things, even when life seems devoid of temperamental sea lions.
