Pedata RV Center Reports Upswing in RV Enthusiasts
Pedata RV Center latest news - RVers out in record numbers.
Phoenix, AZ (Vocus/PRWEB ) November 16, 2009 -- RVers contribute to the economy and campground owners have taken notice. From Texas to Michigan to Canada, RV campgrounds are staying open longer and filling up faster as RVers look for inexpensive places to winter and enjoy outdoor activities.
RV shipments are projected to total 185,800 units in 2010, a 26.5% increase from the projected 2009 total, according to RV industry analyst and director of consumer surveys at the University of Michigan Dr. Richard Curtin.
Texas Campgrounds are reporting an increase in winter reservations with some campgrounds already completely booked for the winter. This falls in line with the report that campground reservations were up 3-5% from this time last year, according to the National Association of RV Parks and Campgrounds.
Various Michigan campgrounds will remain open year-round to encourage outdoor activities such as hunting, fishing and snow related activities. Not to be outdone, Both Porteau Cove and Lake Provincail Parks campgrounds in Canada will open in February to offer affordable accommodations to those traveling to the 2010 Winter Olympics. With spaces renting for $28.00 per night, they offer one of the most economic ways to experience the Olympics.
"RV rentals have continued to increase during 2009. And our RV sales have picked up in the latter half of this year," reports Gerard Pedata of Pedata RV Center. "We are estimating that the rest of the industry that caters to RVers is in for a good winter season."
