With a vastly different appearance and streamlined menu system, PennBarry provides a number of marked improvements in the release of their new website, including enhanced applications, increased performance, and simplified organization.

A key component of the new website is the on-line Product Catalog. This application gives users a way to find product information regardless of experience or familiarity with PennBarry products. It begins with a two-part menu. The first part allows users that are familiar with PennBarry products to select a model from the drop-down menu and dive directly into product information. Less experienced users can easily navigate through a secondary, expandable menu, which steps through product divisions and product families, eventually leading to product models. Moving through each level, photos and descriptions provide easy recognition to quickly target a specific type of product.

Once a user has arrived at a product model, they will find information organized into a series of tabs, which makes it incredibly simple to move from standard published drawings, performance data, and specifications to installation manuals, engineering information, submittals and more. Coupled with sizable product images, introductory text, and bullet point descriptions, PennBarry delivers an on-line Product Catalog that not only performs well, but is easy to navigate.

"It was our goal to improve the user experience throughout the website," said Paul Christiansen, Vice President of PennBarry. "Whether visitors enjoy the new look and feel of the website, find it easier to locate product information, or appreciate the ability to download software and tools without registration, we will have met our objective."

Just as the on-line Product Catalog has improved, so too did the search capabilities. Whether searching on a broad based term or a specific model, the search provides up to three different categories by which to locate requested information: product families, product models, and submittals. Corresponding descriptions for each type of link make it easy to identify and access requested information.

As a supplement to the on-line Product Catalog, the new PennBarry website includes a variety of electronic tools, ranging from selection software to a product cross reference program, which are accessible through the "Software" menu. Also available are a number of supportive materials, including literature, maintenance instructions, and a replacement parts look-up application, all of which can be accessed within the "Support" menu.

For customers that are looking for a PennBarry sales contact, the search is a one step process. By entering in a zip-code at the top of the website, the contact information of the local PennBarry Representative quickly displays. Alternatively, customers can locate their nearest Representative by state, province, or international location by using a drop-down menu from the “Sales” page.
