"We've always relied on a community of friends and supporters," says HFM's Executive Director Jeff Campbell. "Now they have a chance to help us more than ever before, by voting for Get Instrumental! at RefreshEverything.com."

Key cities, chosen for the presence of a vibrant music scene, an underprivileged population, and willing volunteers, include Austin, Boston, Chicago, Cleveland, Kansas City, Los Angeles, Memphis, New Orleans, Seattle and Washington DC.

"We're thrilled to be in the top 10 ideas so far," says Campbell. "But we need to do even better." With enough votes to reach the top 2, HFM will win the grant. The public can help by signing up free and voting for Get Instrumental! every day throughout February.

HFM is a 401(c)(3) non-profit with a 15-year history of getting musical instruments into the hands of kids with a hunger to play. Its mission is to inspire underprivileged children (and others) by bringing positive musical and creative experiences into their lives. HFM's grass-roots, volunteer-driven efforts have collected, repaired and distributed over 3,000 instruments to date.
