Arya Global Cuisine is wishing everyone a Happy New Year. Persian New Year, that is. Persian New Year is celebrated multilaterally across all religions and cultures. Falling on March 21, at the precise moment of the vernal equinox, the holiday originally marked the end of winter and the beginning of a new growing season. In Iran it marks the beginning of two weeks of holidays and festivities and is celebrated with a multi-course meal and elaborate decorations centered around the haft-sin table or “Table of the Seven S’s” which is named for the seven traditional items that begin with the letter S.

Beginning March 15, Arya will be hosting events in celebration of Persian New Year, including a four course traditional Persian Dinner, live Persian music, and belly dancing. The dinner is $49 per person, kids 12 and under are $25, and kids under 3 are free. The special menu has all the traditional Persian dishes, including Ghormeh Sabzi, sauteed vegetables cooked with dried limes, beef red kidney beans, and special seasonings, served with a side of basmati rice topped with saffron, or Fesenjoon, walnut pomegranate stew mixed with chicken, served with basmati rice topped with saffron.

At the Cupertino location on March 15 and 22 there will be music with International DJ. On March 16 and 23, there is music from Rushid Live. At the Redwood City location on March 15, 22, and 23 there will also be music by International DJ. On March 16 there will be classical Persian music.
