Today, PictureThatSound begins shipping orders of products that allow brides, moms, and scrapbookers to record 20 seconds of audio to pair with photos of their most special moments.

“After months in manufacturing and design, the wait is finally over,” says Jennifer Furr, founder of PictureThatSound. “I spent lots hours talking with customers to create a user-friendly, archival-quality product that anyone can use.”

Each 5” x 7” PictureThatSound paper card features a creative but simple design with a high-quality built-in recording device. The colorful card gives the memory keeper an inspirational starting point to record sound, add images, embellishments, and handwriting. The result? A unique family heirloom to be used in scrapbooks or as a stand-alone custom piece of art.

Along with the 20 seconds of recording time, the product also features archival-quality acid-free and lignin-free paper, an easy-slide battery tray for simple replacement and a pull-tab to prevent accidental over-recording. The archival paper, replaceable batteries, and high-quality memory chip ensure the card will last for generations.

Furr envisions a pregnant mom taking the card to her ultrasound appointment and then pairing it with the ultrasound pictures. She sees a young man recording his marriage proposal to his new bride and one day sharing it with their children. She also imagines parents recording their son’s first piano recital and pairing that sound with the picture of him in a coat and tie. Customers can visit the PictureThatSound website which features a forum for people to share ideas and gain new ones.

Each PictureThatSound package includes two recordable cards. Themes include pregnancy, birthday, wedding, performance and gender-specific designs for boys and girls. The products can be purchased directly at http://www.picturethatsound.com for $16.99, and, for a limited time, orders of two or more include free shipping and handling.

PictureThatSound LLC was founded in 2009 to grow a “customer first” life-experience company that creates, markets and delivers products that help people preserve memories pairing picture with sound. PictureThatSound is backed by the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) and is funded by First Citizens Bank.
