Wireless Audience Response Keypads Used to Determine Winner of Presidential Debate

The Extreme Group, Inc. from Tampa, Florida utilized their audience response technology to allow delegates from across the country to vote in the first ever "electronic live straw poll" at the Values Voter Presidential Debate held Monday night at the Broward Center for the Performing Arts in Ft. Lauderdale, Fl.

Ft. Lauderdale, FL (PRWEB) September 19, 2007 -- The Extreme Group, Inc. from Tampa, Florida utilized their audience response technology to allow delegates from across the country to vote in the first ever "electronic live straw poll" at the Values Voter Presidential Debate held Monday night at the Broward Center for the Performing Arts in Ft. Lauderdale, Fl. Immediately following the closing remarks, Janet Folger, President of Faith2Action and member of the Values Voter Debate Committee was able to announce the clear cut winner. An overwhelming majority of voters selected former Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee.

The live polling provided by the pollsters, The Extreme Group, Inc. allowed the delegates to cast their votes before, during and after the debate. The results were insightful.

"The interactive keypads allowed us to instantly see how the crowd felt about the candidates throughout the process," said John Collins, President of The Extreme Group, Inc. "At the end of the debate, we didn't have 'spin', we had 'statistics'. We had verifiable data and an undisputable winner."

While Governor Huckabee received 63 percent of all votes cast, the most telling part of the evening may be the placement of the so-called first tier candidates, none of whom appeared at the debate; Fred Thompson received only 4%, followed by Rudy Giuliani and John McCain with 1% each, and Mitt Romney with a shocking 0%.

"Unlike other straw polls where candidates have bused in supporters or paid for their tickets, forty national leaders hand selected delegates who accurately represent America's largest voting block," stated Mat Staver, Chairman of Liberty Counsel prior to the event. "This will be the most important straw poll yet."

"We have had people praying and fasting for 40 days," said Janet Folger, President of Faith2Action. "These people have been praying that God would use this event to raise up a single candidate that the entire values voter block can get behind. Clearly, that happened tonight."
