Preventure Corporate Health & Wellness Survey Results

We have always known incentives play a critical part in the employee engagement space, now we can put actual numbers to the claims.

Coventry, RI (PRWEB) May 16, 2013

Preventure is pleased to release the findings of our Wellness IncentiveTrends Survey. In late 2012 Preventure issued a Wellness Incentive Survey to corporations with 1,000 – 10,000 employees to determine best practices for Wellness Incentives in the corporate health and wellness industry. More than half of the respondents have had a Wellness Incentive program for 1-5 years.

The cost of US Healthcare services is expected to rise 6.3% this year according to Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM). This rise is more than the projected US inflation rates and projected ecomomic growth combined. It is because of this that now more than ever the majority of respondents indicated their wellness program budget is either the same or more than last year. This is important to note at a time when we are undergoing the worst recession in recent history.

Preventure's Wellness Incentive Trends Survey has also found incorporating incentives into the employee wellness program is critical and must be tailored to each unique population to achieve an adequate amount of employee participation. Compared to the wellness industry as a whole, Preventure’s average participation rates run 70% as compared with the 63% industry average. That is not to say that plenty of our customer’s participation rates surpass that 70% mark.

"We have always known incentives play a critical part in the employee engagement space," states Laura Walmsley, Chief Business Development Officer of Preventure, "but now we can put actual numbers to the claims."
