Hockey fans will now be able to watch their favorite teams while listening to familiar announcers, stay on top of team stats and catch up on games they missed.

RCN Corporation (NASDAQ: RCNI) announced today it will offer a free preview of the NHL® Center Ice® package now through October 24, 2009. NHL Center Ice features up to 40 out-of-market NHL® games each week during the regular season.

Also included in the digital cable package are games from the first two rounds of the Stanley Cup® Playoffs and premier Canadian match-ups. Other enhancements that have been made to last year's package include:

NHL® Center Ice® LEAGUEWIDE: Offers multiple screens so viewers can watch all the games airing on NHL Center Ice at one time.
NHL Center Ice Extra™: Live source for scores, statistics, game previews, game recaps and schedule information.
Dual feeds: Lets viewers choose their home town announcers for select games.
Replay games: Select games will be replayed continuously until the following day's matches begin.
High Definition quality: For up to 12 games per week.

It will also air digitally on channels 488 - 501 and on analog channels 620 - 633 in Lehigh Valley, PA. Blackout and other restrictions apply.
