National Association of Real Estate Investment Trusts Releases November Media Update

Washington, D.C. (Vocus/PRWEB ) November 5, 2007 -- Specialty and Industrial segments post strongest returns in the REIT industry through the first 10 months of 2007, according to the National Association of Real Estate Investment Trusts (http://nareit.com).
Other news:
- Specialty (up 16.86 percent) and Industrial (up 13.15 percent) were the top-performing REIT sectors through Oct. 31, 2007.
- Other REIT sectors that posted positive total returns for the first 10 months of the year were Free Standing Retail (8.08 percent), Regional Malls (3.98 percent) and Health Care (0.08 percent).
- For the year, the FTSE NAREIT All REITs Index was down 5.92 percent following a positive 0.82 percent return in October. The FTSE NAREIT Equity REIT Index was down 2.37 percent for the year following a 1.12 percent total return in October.
