REMYXX Sneakers, the world’s first 100% recyclable shoes, has exceeded its goal of raising at least $39,697 on the crowdfunding website Kickstarter.

The campaign began on April 27 and has raised an average of $751 dollars a day. The project successfully funded on June 16. Three days remain in the campaign and there are still some great rewards left for backers.

“I am excited that with the funding goal met, I can get started making the sneakers,” said REMYXX founder Gary Gagnon. “Last year, more than 300 million pairs of shoes were thrown away in this country. I hope next year we will see that number drop.”

Currently, REMYXX Sneakers have over $41,000 in funding. This shows an increase in eco-friendly products and people who are willing to use them. We saw the REMYXX Sneakers first on the hit ABC show Shark Tank, where a deal was made with Daymond John.

The Kickstarter campaign officially ends on June 25, 11:59 P.M. EDT. To pre-order your REMYXX Sneakers and to follow the campaign, visit kck.st/ksremyxx.
