GRASS VALLEY, Calif. – Bobbie Hefner trained for three years in Search and Rescue with her Bernese mountain dog named America who was a great tracking dog. America’s best friend was a golden retriever named Radar, who becomes her inspiration in writing “Radar’s Christmas Mission” (published by Xlibris), a story about magic and trust and believing in doing something hard even in the face of fear.
On Christmas Eve, Santa sends a Golden Retriever puppy named Radar and his best friend, a little bear named Teddy on a special mission. Santa does not tell Radar what the mission is, but just to trust his instincts and his tracking nose and when the time is right, he will know what to do.
“Not only does the story have a message, but it is an adventure and until the end, you are never sure where the story will take you,” Hefner says. “It is a magical journey for children that is timeless and for adults, it bring to them a time long ago when they still believed in magic.”
“Radar’s Christmas Mission” will remind readers about trusting their instincts and doing what is right, even when the right thing to do may be hard.
