Inland Empire homeowners can reduce their energy bills and increase their comfort level thanks to Henry Bush Plumbing, Heating & Air Conditioning and the HERO (Home Energy Renovation Opportunity) program.

Henry Bush Plumbing, Heating & Air Conditioning is a registered contractor for the HERO program, a partnership between cities and counties and private companies to encourage and enable property owners to make their homes more energy-efficient.

HERO finances 100 percent of the cost to buy and install eligible products, including heating and air conditioning systems, solar panels, dual-pane windows, insulation and low-flow toilets. Loans feature low, fixed interest rates, with flexible payment terms ranging from five to 20 years of repayments through the individual’s property taxes. The application is simple, and credit scores are not an issue.

An energy efficiency retrofit can reduce a home’s energy consumption by as much as 60 percent, and qualified homes can receive more than $4,000 in rebates from Energy Upgrade California.

“Homeowners benefit by saving money on energy costs, qualifying for rebates, deducting interest from the loan on their property taxes and, when they sell the home, the loan can be passed along to the buyer,” said Chris Patterson, a home comfort consultant with Henry Bush. “The environment benefits as well through the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions.”

Every energy-efficient upgrade performed by Henry Bush combines efficiency and comfort, so homeowners never have to sacrifice one for the other.

Systems are designed to deliver consistent temperatures year-round and to reduce the difference in upstairs and downstairs temperatures during the summer from 15 degrees to only about two degrees.

“Customers love it,” Patterson said. “They end up with a house that is comfortable, and they don’t have to take out a loan to pay their electrical bills at the end of the month.”

About Henry Bush Plumbing, Heating & Air Conditioning: In 1898, Henry Fisher founded the Redlands Plumbing Co. and went into business installing, fixing and maintaining the relatively new luxury commodity that was indoor plumbing. In the 1930s, Henry sold the company to a relative, and by 1954 we added “Heating” to our name. By the 1990s, we were Redlands Plumbing, Heating and Air Conditioning. Since then, we’ve been doing plenty of work outside of Redlands, so we’ve taken on the name ‘Henry Bush’ for our work around the rest of the Inland Empire. Today, more than 100 years later, some things are very different from when Henry Fisher founded our company. We have a fleet of shiny trucks instead of horses and carts, and our technicians install things like touch-panel LCD home controls that Henry probably never imagined. But, one thing hasn’t changed. We’ve lasted this long because we earn the trust of our customers on every job we take. Whether you call us to fix a leaky faucet or retrofit an entire home with the latest energy-efficient technology, you can trust that we’ll get the job done right. You can trust us, because earning our customers’ trust is exactly what we’ve been doing for more than a century.
