Fredericton, New Brunswick (PRWEB) June 11, 2009
Remsoft, developer of industry-leading advanced analytics software for optimizing the value of infrastructure assets, announced that its representatives have been invited to deliver presentations at two of this year's most important transportation industry conferences: The Transportation Association of Canada's Annual Conference and Exhibition in Vancouver, British Columbia, and the United States Transportation Research Board's 8th National Conference on Asset Management in Portland, Ore.
Provincial, State and municipality planners, planning consultants and project managers from related software providers will learn about the latest technological solutions for balancing economic, social and environmental objectives in a sustainable manner
Remsoft technology was also cited in, "An Asset-Management Framework for the Interstate Highway System." The recently released report from the National Cooperative Highway Research Program surveyed existing technologies and future needs in Transportation Asset Management. "Remsoft, with its advanced analytics and linear programming software and technical expertise, is a logical next step for transportation asset management systems," says Bill Robert, co-author of the report.
Remsoft Analytics software is the technology that supports the entire infrastructure planning and asset management system of the New Brunswick Department of Transportation (NBDoT). Robert reports that the Remsoft solution was used by the department to perform strategic analyses of its pavement and bridge investment needs. The award-winning system put in place by the NBDoT is now used as a case study for the efficient, sustainable use and maintenance of large-scale, complex transportation networks.
Remsoft software is receiving wide-spread interest at a time when crumbling infrastructures throughout North America, and the risks and inconvenience they pose to people using them, are very much in the news. The information also is timely for the United States market as President Obama's economic stimulus package, with its allocations for infrastructure improvements, begins to have impact.
In addition, departments are being asked to do more with less, and "Significantly, users can identify the right priorities and right funding levels over the relevant planning horizon," says Steve Palmer, Co-CEO of Remsoft. "These are important issues and the technology is available today to address them."
For nearly two decades, Remsoft has built its success on a combination of developing innovative and creative solutions, plus an overriding commitment to quality and unsurpassed service to its clients. Established in 1992 with a handful of clients, Remsoft software is now considered the standard in the resource management industry with more than 120 clients on five continents.
Remsoft advanced analytics applications are used in diverse industry sectors. The strength of its software lies in its flexibility. Remsoft software can be applied in areas as diverse as carbon sequestration, infrastructure management, valuation & investment planning, biodiversity, soil and water quality management, civil infrastructure planning, environmental compliance, and logistics optimization and scheduling.
