2009 Golf School Programs at Reynolds Golf Academy Individually Tailored to Each Student's Game

The Reynolds Golf Academy's Red Zone Short Game School and Essentials of Golf™ Total Game Improvement School return in 2009, with each program designed to target the individual needs of each student.

Greensboro, Ga. (Vocus/PRWEB ) November 3, 2008 -- The Reynolds Golf Academy's Red Zone Short Game School and Essentials of Golf™ Total Game Improvement School return in 2009, with each program designed to target the individual needs of each student.

Sessions are available throughout the year under the guidance of Charlie King, Director of Instruction at Reynolds Golf Academy, who has developed the Red Zone Short Game School and the Essentials of Golf™ School to fit the character of each participant.

"Golfers are not made to robotically look the same swinging a club," says King, a member of the GOLF Magazine Top 100 Instructors. "Each individual's personality comes out in their swing."

The Essentials of Golf™ is the basis of King's teaching philosophy, which he calls "The New Rules of Golf Instruction." King's focus is on skill-based instruction instead of model-based teaching. "Each golfer is evaluated to see where they rank on the seven Essential Skills," says King. "From there, students are taught based on the skills they most need to perfect."

Starting in April, the Essentials of Golf™ Total Game Improvement School is offered in three-day and one-day options. It touches on all aspects of the game: fundamentals of a sound golf swing, short-game instruction, course management, a fitness evaluation, personalized video analysis and the psychology of the game.

The three-day Red Zone Short Game School is based on King's book, "Golf's Red Zone Challenge," and its focus is on the scoring shots from 100 yards and in. Starting in March, the program emphasizes the fundamentals and strategy of putting, chipping, pitching, distance wedges, sand shots and specialty shots. The Red Zone Challenge has spawned a reality TV show being aired nationally. A third printing of the book will be available this spring. A portion of the book will also soon be available free as a download on the Reynolds Golf Academy website.

Both schools include a four-to-one student to teacher ratio, 17 hours of instruction, video analysis and lesson on DVD, 18 holes of golf and lunch each day.
