TheClassicalStation.org announces today that its weekly program ''Preview!'' will feature an interview with Guitarist Robert Belinic. The interview can be heard during the station's Sunday, November 9, 2008 program that airs from 6-9 p.m.

Mr. Belinic will be interviewed by ''As You Like It'' host and WCPE Music Director William Woltz. They will discuss the challenges of performing a concerto with what is usually a solo instrument. Also included in the interview is Belinic's participation in a film made in his homeland, Croatia.

''I'm looking forward to hearing Robert perform the 'Concierto de Aranjuez','' says Woltz, who is also a classical guitarist. ''This is a beautiful piece which embodies the soul of Spanish guitar music.''

The performance will take place at Durham's Carolina Theatre in the historic Fletcher Hall, November 16, 2008 at 3 p.m. Belinic will join the Chamber Orchestra of the Triangle under the direction of Maestro Lorenzo Muti.

''Preview!'' is a weekly feature that airs every Sunday evening from 6-9 p.m. ET and presents the latest in classical recordings and upcoming classical events. About Robert Belinic:
Acclaimed as "A genius, a poet, a super-sensitive musician," by sandiego.com, Croatian guitarist Robert Belinic was the sole winner of the 2001 Young Concert Artists European Auditions in Leipzig, Germany, and in 2002 was the first guitarist ever to win a place on the Young Concert Artists roster in New York. Born in 1981 in Zagreb, Croatia, Mr. Belinic grew up in the nearby town of Popovaca. He began to play the drums at the age of three. When he was eight years old, he starred in ''Tale from Croatia,'' the first film released in newly-independent Croatia. He began to study classical guitar at the age of eleven at the music school in Kutina with Zvonko Susnjar, continuing his studies with Ante Cagalj in Zagreb. Mr. Belinic was the recipient of the 2002 Ivo Vuljevic Award for outstanding young Croatian musicians, and was a prizewinner in the 2006 Parkening International Guitar Competition in California. He graduated from the Leopold Mozart Hochschule fur Musik in Augsburg, Germany, where he held an assistantship and earned a Master's Degree with Prof. Franz Halasz.

About The Chamber Of The Triangle:
Dr. Joseph Kitchen organized the Chamber Orchestra of the Triangle originally under the name of St. Stephen's Chamber Orchestra in 1982. Its first conductor was violist George Taylor. In 1988, under the artistic direction of Lorenzo Muti, the ensemble reorganized as a non-profit cultural and educational organization, totally independent of the church where it originated. From the beginning, the orchestra was received with genuine respect and enthusiasm by the community, as well as by music critics. Today, it is considered one of the finest professional ensembles in North Carolina and the Southeast.
