Run for Peace and Unite the Middle East

Run For Peace is the manifestation of our desire to create a game that is both entertaining and carries a good message, said Lebnan Nader, Co-Founder of Game Cooks.

Seattle, WA (PRWEB) June 28, 2012

Game Cooks makes a stand for peace today with the launch of its new addictive game Run For Peace, which is available today for the iPhone and iPod Touch in the iTunes App Store. From the co-creators of the popular Birdy Nam Nam, this easy-to-play, but hard-to-master, runner game tasks players with helping protagonist, Salim, avoid dangerous obstacles on the way to bringing peace to the Middle East, country by country.

Run For Peace features hours of endless runner fun, a variety of Middle Eastern countries (recognizable by their famous landmarks), 30 achievements to obtain, and a positive message of peace. The game sells for $.99 on the iPhone, and Game Cooks will be donating 5% of all proceeds from the game to UNESCO to help those in need in war-torn areas of the world.

“Run For Peace is the manifestation of our desire to create a game that is both entertaining and carries a good message. In Beirut we are frequently experiencing fighting and conflict, and we want to both educate the rest of the world about the situation here while providing a great gameplay experience”, said Lebnan Nader, Co-Founder of Game Cooks. “Run For Peace is our way of saying ‘Enough War – Let’s Play’”!

About Run For Peace:
Run For Peace is set entirely in the Middle East and is a linear run-and-jump game where the main character, Salim, spreads peace by running through the Middle East. He starts in Saudi Arabia and must cross through a variety of countries, ending in Algeria.

This one-touch game’s objective is to help Salim overcome a multitude of obstacles -- electricity shocks, oil spills, bombs, missiles and even flying shisha pipes -- by jumping over or avoiding them. Salim's ultimate goal is to complete a Peace Sign in the game by running through each country successfully. Once a country has been crossed safely, part of the Peace Sign will light up. Cross all countries safely, and achieve peace in the Middle East!
