Dallas, TX (PRWEB) January 31, 2012
Texzon Utilities, LTD (Texzon) announced today their recent agreement with Southwestern Assemblies of God University (SAGU), to administer a program that provides alumni low energy rates, while at the same time providing the university revenue for specific school initiatives. This program will enable alumni and businesses or churches affiliated with the university to receive highly competitive rates from established providers. A portion of every kilowatt-hour used by enrollees in the program will be paid to the university. University Energy Group was created as a result of Texzon’s experience in the industry and recognition that many schools are looking for creative ways to raise funds. Licensed with the Public Utility Commissions of Texas, Pennsylvania, and Ohio, Texzon/University Energy Group has established marketing agreements with many of the major energy companies across the nation and has helped thousands of residents and businesses lower their rates.
"The LionPower program is tailor-made for SAGU," states CEO and Waxahachie resident Steve Wilson. "They can offer their alumni real value – lower utility rates – while also generating needed revenue. The best part is that it doesn’t cost SAGU alumni anything extra. In fact, with multiple providers competing for the lowest rate, both the alumni and the university reap the benefits,” said Wilson.
University officials agree that the partnership is beneficial to both alumni and the university. “This program is a truly a win-win for the University, and our alumni and affiliated businesses and churches,” said Jay Trewern, Vice President for Business & Finance. “As a long-time energy advocate for the university, Texzon has a great track record of saving us money on our electricity. This program will be doing that for our alumni also, while also helping to fund our athletic program, which is very exciting for us,” said Trewern.
