New CMS Platform Delivers Massive Search Traffic

Pod1, the London & New York based web design agency, claims that its proprietary Content Management System (CMS for SEO) is the most, SEO or Search Engine-friendly platform on the market. This search engine optimised content management system is currently setting new standards across the industry, particularly with online retailers where there is a direct ROI from the results.

UK, London (PRWEB) March 12, 2007 -- This powerful new platform, combined with Pod1's Single Page Checkout creates the ultimate solution for increasing conversion on e-commerce sites as it delivers more natural traffic and decreases the number of abandoned shopping carts.

Fadi Shuman, Pod1 Director and Co-Founder, says:

"This platform is doing amazing things across every website it operates on. It was built with search at its core and is constantly being updated as we closely track Google and the other major search engine's activities and adapt accordingly. It's up-to-the-minute and ultra-effective delivering high-volume highly-targeted traffic to the websites that use it. I believe it will be hard to find another CMS/eCommerce platform to out-perform it."

This proprietary Pod1 Content Management System (CMS, SEO) was built in-house by Pod1's development team and operates across the majority of recent Pod1 client websites. All the sites that use it have seen a minimum 150% increase in search engine traffic within only a few months and an exponential rise in rankings on the SERP (search engine results pages).

Mark Blenkinsop Chief SEM at Pod1 says, "Apart from making my life easier we have experienced excellent results across all clients and in some instances we have seen increases of up to 380% in search engine referrals within 6 months."

The Pod1 SEO CMS allows the user to quickly change any of the main elements of on-page search engine optimization e.g. keywords, page titles or alt tags as well as site-wide key-word density tests and auto optimisation. This means site owners can instantly change the search focus of their site's pages, reacting to, say, seasonal markets or new product launches and crucially it lets non-technical users do this directly onto the live site. This ultimately saves the client time and money in terms of additional development costs.

Websites currently using the system include Links of London, Paramount Hotels and Matches Fashion to name a few.

Sally Osborne, Director of E-Commerce, Paramount Group of Hotels (www.paramount-hotels.co.uk) said:

"I've worked with a number of Content Management Systems and this is simply the best. It's transformed our business. I've really never seen anything like the results it delivers."

The Technical Bit
The Pod1 Content Management System (CMS) was built from the ground up to be search-effective. Throughout the design and build process the developers worked closely with the Pod1 SEO team and Google to ensure everything enabled the platform to deliver great content that Google and other search engines would respond to. Easily readable URLs were just the start while the custom MVC ensures none of the primary areas of the site include query strings or ugly .php parameters.

Each "node" in the sitemap has customisable Meta Descriptions for inclusion into search engine results and it's possible to add or override meta keywords and HTML titles. Within each custom module, according to customer requirements, parameters can be sent in cleartext rather than using numbers to identify content, and meta data can be added in most cases according to a predefined schema which reads the meta information from the product database.

Another additional module is the Google SiteMap (now used by Yahoo as well) which automatically generates a sitemap ready for Google to read, thus increasing new site indexing within the major search engines.

Other tools for assisting with Search Engine ratings include in-built broken link detection, and code to automatically exclude broken non-html files such as CSS and Image files. Hyperlinks within the site are created using internal schema notation which ensures that if the name of a sitemap node changes the links follow it to the new path automatically.

Custom modules now include automatic RSS feed generation, which further enhances the chance that Google will rank the site as Important and have a major impact on page rank.
